Welcome Tandy,
Glad you found your way here and are finally getting treatment for your TOS. You will make it through this. Hopefully your next surgery will bring more relief. Does your surgeon have privileges anyplace else? It is good you are seeing pain management. If you don't feel you are getting all you need from them you may want to give a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation doc a try as well. I have found them to be very helpful and with a different approach more focused on improving function. Remember that you are just on one step of the journey and it will not always be like this. You will find new activities that are in keeping with your current ability. Get a new birdfeeder, put out a water feature and sit in the sun watching birds instead of weeding. I am a go,go,go type who has learned sitting and stillness. I reached in to the Mom parts of myself that were patient with my son he was very young and we would spend an entire day at the Dino Pit at the Nature Center for the 50th time. I have become patient with myself and my recovery like I was with him. Just being in each moment, enjoying the smallest of things. Hard to do when you have worked in a fast pace environment but you adapt. Hang in there. I wish all the best for your upcoming procedure.
Sending Healing Love, Littlepaw
