I am real sorry that you had to go through this. When my sons were young, they were always taught to respect, not stare, hold open doors and politely ask handicapped, folks with casts, walkers, wheel chairs, etc. if they could be of assistance to them. It is not your fault(ya already know this, I'm sure) It is the parents that teach children their "Own hang-ups".. like your siggy says, "Chin Up".
