Hello Swimtime,

Decreasing inflammation during times of injury is always good and this is a known benefit of Omega 3. Also good for a teen's growing brain! I take Omega 3 everyday and I don't know of course if it is relayed but inflammatory markers on blood tests for me, sed rate, c reactive protein were lmost undetectable. Free radical scavengers are also good. N acetyl cysteine and vit. c of course. One thing, Omega 3 does thin the blood a little so they recommend stopping it before any kind of surgery.
