You could have a circulation/inflammation issue related to your neck. The various positions of the head/neck when sleeping can cause inflammation that can interrupt nerve signals and blood flow.

Icing your neck may help and sleeping with your head and neck straight may help.

You are still very early in your recovery so you should be patient.
