dear Father

as i lay in bed
it be a very difficult day pain wise
my OCD having to find the spider in my room
to add on top of an already sensitive spot
surgery site on the back of my neck
my daughter took a picture
when she comes home i'll have her
post it
because if it were anyone else
would say i'm nuts
this spider bite managed to get me good
it hurts

as i watch and listen to my granddaughter
play with the lego's at the foot of my bed
and sings you are my sunshine to me
and when done asks
do you want me to sing it again

as she is pure in so many ways
is not a mistake
serenity just for a moment
i miss my dog
