The dog in the show was named after the Eqyptian "god" ISIS....nothing to do with the terrorist group! which is actually known as IS (despite media misnomers)

Just an extra titbit that the 5th Earl of Carnarvon (Highclere Castle, the family seat in Berkshire, is where Downton Abbey is filmed) is famous for discovering the tomb of Egyptian Pharoah Tutankhamun,along with Howard Carter, in the 1920s

This past Sunday was the 2 hour season finale and was broadcast on all PBS stations. Check your local PBS website for when they will do repeat showings or perhaps a video stream
