I took quite quickly to hard-soled slippers. They seem to have the most give. The hardest part is finding some that don't really look like slippers, which is becoming easier, actually. Being a nurse in an assisted living facility (LOTS of walking), I've been wearing slippers for shoes years before my RSD diagnosis. My supervisor would call them my "almost shoes".
