I'm convinced it all plays a role in our health. And just like everything else, some are more effected by it than others. There are things you can try to see if they make a difference. Our cells respond to frequencies. The Body Electric is an interesting read on how electricity effects our bodies. Western medicine is just now starting to embrace how to utilize electricity/electromagnetic frequency for treating disease. Our cells cannot communicate without electricity and they too get overloaded.

1 - The first is grounding. Here's a thread that on that from a while back that you might find helpful.

Our connection to the earth, for many, has been interrupted. Our shoes and buildings block us from connecting to the electromagnetic field of the earth which is beneficial to all life forms.

2 - Negative ions. Levels of negative ions are higher out in nature...like being at the beach, near running water, in the mountains and in less polluted cities. If you feel better in these places, look at ways to increase negative ions in your home. Adding plants and reducing indoor pollutions can help. Taking a shower, or having small fountain running. Many feel better after thunderstorms. Our indoor lives in the city deplete negative ions.

3 - Unplug all electronics in and near your bedroom when you sleep. You can even kill the electricity to that area of the house at the electrical panel. Unplug all your electronics at night...TV, Computer, etc. Do not sleep with your cell phone next to you.

It is probably impossible to shield yourself completely in our modern age but do what you can when you sleep since that's when your body does lot of repair work.
