Help Post concussion syndrome on a cruise ship

Hi,

I'm brand new to this site looking for some help. Well here goes the story. About a month and a half now I was diagnosed with post concussion syndrome. The injury occurred in hockey on a Tuesday and I was unaware of it. I felt completely fine until that Thursday I went to the bar with my friends and had a couple of drinks. The next morning I woke up feeling foggy or "buzzed" and it wouldn't pass. Around 4pm that day I took a nap and felt much better. That night I drank again and woke up feeling the same way. The following Monday I went to the doctors and they diagnosed me with post concussion syndrome. I've been doing everything right; no tv, computers, staying in dimly lit rooms and even took two weeks off from classes. This past weekend I was feeling fantastic almost back to 100% with only really really bright lights bothering me, such as shopping mall lights. This week was spring break for us and we had planned a cruise a long time ago. I asked me neurologist if it was okay to go and he said it was fine and to just take it easy on the drinking. The day we left I still felt great the airport lights and the plane didn't bother me at all. Even when we first got on the ship I felt fine. The boat started moving and my symptoms started to come back. At first it was just when the boat was moving and I was in bright lights I'd start to feel disconnected again. When we went to ports and I'd get off the boat I felt fine and it was just the movement that would bother me. Now all my symptoms have come back and I even feel dizzy, like I'm on the boat even when I'm on land. I have been taking Dramamine but it hasn't seemed to help. I also have not been drinking at all. I'm stuck on this boat for another two days at sea with no ports to get off at. I'm at a complete loss and don't know what to do now. I've been sitting in my room with all the lights off and feel better, still out of it, but when I go outside the lights bother me again. I fear that I've lost all my progress and am going to have to start all over again. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
