Is this employer, or the actual LTD ins co?

Both should have to go by what your dr says. Although they may try to pressure you into something. The ins co might make you go to another dr to verify your level of disability.

I'm not that familiar with LTD..and maybe it varies by policy.

Do you have your policy, or can you go online and read up on what your LTD requires?
