October 27 meeting highlights latest advances in research, diagnosis, and treatment

Milford, Connecticut. The Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDSA) and Emory University School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology will host a one-day conference, Diagnosis and Management of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, on October 27 at the Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. This CME- accredited conference is targeted to pain practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, internists, pediatricians, physician therapists, and others who are on the "front line" in diagnosing this syndrome.

"This is the first time we have had a program in Atlanta and we are excited about working with health care professionals in this geographic area. This program will include presentations by leading physicians, which will permit healthcare professionals to explore all aspects of CRPS," says Jim Broatch, executive director of RSDSA.

The program co-directors from Emory are Patricia Baumann, MD, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Anne Marie McKenzie-Brown, MD, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Director, Division of Pain Medicine.

The registration fee of $259 includes program, syllabus, continental breakfast and lunch.
