Some drs see 200 and automatically want to put you on statins.
They don't seem to change a trend very quickly..

I cut out nearly all junk food and added in olive oil, real foods vs imitation/over processed , read labels to avoid MSG and other unwanted additives...

Last time mine was checked the total chol was 350...and I'm still around LOL
My grandmother lived to 96 with chol 350 range. no heart problems at all.

There is also a syndrome called metabolic syndrome, you may come across that in your reading.
