Yep, I agree, and I use the curly ones.

Here is a wonderful site for feet... they offer the alternative
lacing patterns to help people with various foot problems.

Try looking around that site...it is a wonderful learning tool.
The anatomy of the foot helps to visualize the various pain generators, and you'll notice many of the nerves go right thru
the top of the foot. This is why Lidoderm patches work well there as well as the magnesium lotion.
