Default First question from this newby

I've been "lurking" on this forum for a while, trying to digest some of the information on recommended dietary changes/supplements. Seemed like I was making some headway after a few weeks of smarter eating and some added vitamins/supplements (primarily D3, B12, ALA, and switching from magnesium oxide to magnesium citrate.

We had a beautiful day last Saturday, and I spent all day working in the yard without a single complaint from my feet. Then, on Sunday I came down with some kind of virus/flu (fever, chills, the usual). Suddenly, the burning feet were as bad as ever. So, a couple questions:

1. Is it common to have flare ups as a result of catching a cold/flu, or other virus?

2. Why is it that the bottoms of your feet sweat so much when the PN flares up? And could this give any hints as to what the cause is? (so far I have no answers from the Doctors.)
