No worries
You won't get stuck with anything. It sounds like you're having what's called an "ambulatory EEG." The electrodes will probably be attached with gauze that's been soaked in a very stinky fluid called collodion. It will dry stiff and keep the electrodes on as you go about your business. The amplifier will probably be put in a little fanny pack or back pack. So you will probably be able to go shopping or whatever, as long as you don't mind your new hairdo.
Some people wear caps or scarves to cover it all up. It really won't be that bad.
