Thanks Dave for sharing your info with us - it will help others (myself included) to prepare to face the so-called specialists. What you've had to go through isn't fair but as they say 'Life isn't fair'. The stoicism and pragmatism you show along with your sense of humor I hope will keep you strong.

As for the cricket - good to hear you're a staunch England/Wales supporter - I realized you weren't probably able to watch it but wondered if you listened to the radio or online. I was going to try and tempt you to listen to the World Cup match yesterday (SA v NZ) as a distraction from your bad day - but of course in my somewhat reduced compis mentis state I forgot the time zone difference and that you'd be trying to get much needed sleep. Sorry we've become a little obsessed with it down here at present - it's not that often that NZ does well - and I keep in mind that although this wasn't England's year - without England there would be no cricket. Like you although I'm no longer able to participate in sport I still enjoy following many sports.
