Hi Sara,

The lack of constant symptoms is encouraging. You can look up the grades of nerve injury by simply googling "types of nerve damage or injury". This may give you an idea on healing time for intermittent compression. Washington University in St. Louis maintains excellent info on peripheral nerve injuries. Are they doing a nerve conduction study as well or just EMG. Might be helpful to have both. Sometimes they start with NCS and progress to EMG if indicated. No needles for NCS...
