Skin that breaks out may respond to flax oil. When you consume too much omega-6 fats (very common in cooking and vegetables)
you do not get omega-3's (alpha linolenic acid), then the excess-6's fuel inflammatory cytokines in the body and skin.

I did this for my son, who had adolescent acne... we used flax oil along with his fish oil for his ADHD and his acne cleared up with a couple of months.

Also zinc can help. Zinc is commonly lost by males thru the semen. So males can get skin conditions if the loss exceeds the intake. I read once that considerable amounts of zinc can be lost in ejaculations. This link gives values found in a testing of several men.

You can have your zinc/copper ratio tested, or you can take a mens' formula vitamin that has zinc in it.
H2 blocking drugs (like Zantac)
steroids
diuretics
hormones
and ACE inhibitor drugs for blood pressure..
these all may reduce zinc in the body.

Another thing that may help is the vitamin Biotin. At least 1mg a day.

These all have some usefulness in reducing acne and other skin problems.
