I have CRPS in my foot.

What I found was that shoe selection is very important. First, start out with a high quality shoe. I'm currently wearing the New Balance 740V2.

Along with the quality of the shoe, I have found that it helps to wear one a little bigger than you would normally wear. Results in less compression around the entire foot. For my shoes, I make the following adjustments:

1. 1/2 size longer
2. 1 size wider
3. Consider a "runners" type of shoe with a mesh top and open toe box
4. I wear a high quality "off the shelf" orthotic in the shoe. The brand name is "Powerstep Protech"

Good luck to you!
