In my experience, a week of treatments and healing time is wholly inadequate. It takes time for the ligaments to tighten up and heal. Plus, if this was a 'twist the head and pop the neck' form of treatment, it is far too aggressive in my view. The treatments should be gentle and slow with time between treatments that increases over time. Maybe 3 a week for the first week. Two a week for a couple weeks with the treatment frequency decreasing as the ligaments tighten up to support proper alignment.

You should be icing after each treatment. Healing will be slow if the area is inflamed.

But, this is just my experience. I have seen 18 different chiros over 30 plus years. Most were of little help. The few that helped were fabulous. Finding the good ones took time and trial and error.
