She has a problem with recurrent UTIs which are usually E coli infections and horribly painful and unpleasant.

Per Mayo, these are the antibiotics commonly prescribed:

Sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim (Bactrim, Septra, others)
Amoxicillin (Amoxil, Augmentin, others)
Nitrofurantoin (Furadantin, Macrodantin, others)
Ampicillin
Ciprofloxacin (Cipro)
Levofloxacin (Levaquin)
