The bigger issue is that if you have had not yet been approved for SSDI or are due for a SSDI CDR, an IME report could potentially impact your credibility with SS.
It makes no sense to be bullied out of these type of benefits. Hire an attorney if need be.

This is what I am concerned about - Yes I receive ssdi - yes ssa collects medical and determines if you continue or not but they dont harass the opinion of your treating docs to my knowledge. On the other hand the LTD company blasts the docs office with forms and medical notes several times a year and this may casue the doc to give in and be less willing to support you if all they do is constantly fill out paperwork
