Doctors have a hard time accepting complications. My original ortho kept insisting my first procedure was a "success". Problem can be hardware or can also be scar tissue tethering a nerve somewhere or a scar neuroma. I sent you a PM. Cleveland Clinic has just the people to check this thing out in their Peripheral Nerve Program. Never hurts to ask....
check out the article at the bottom of my nerve injury post. Really interesting case. I think we owe it to ourselves to explore all possibilities. Then if there really is nothing left you can move forward with accepting that.
