I am currently trying to wean off it - 20 mg prescribed to 'help' me deal with clonazepam - dreadful drug, Citalopram. Yesterday I downloaded the updated 2012 manufacturer's product monograph!!!!! Tons of symptoms in every tissue in the body are listed, including a whole bunch that were reported in clinical trials and post-marketing and are the same as many PD symptoms. In fact, at one time, this drug was suspected of CAUSING Pd because if patients taking it who don't have PD, then go off it and get PD symptoms, what would you think? Dr. David Healy says that 50% of patients are still on SSRI's because they CANT GET OFF THEM. There are a lot of people that ought to be in jail - just my humble opinion.....
