Lightbulb the toe bone is connected to the... hip bone?

Bizi, I had a thought.

Your left hip might have started bothering you because of the prior injury to your right toe.

Sounds kinda crazy, right? Well, you've mentioned that toe hurting now on several occasions, so I'm thinking you may have have developed an antalgic gait, whereby you shift your weight unevenly towards the side opposite side. It could be mild enough not to cause problems during daily activities, but with the amount of training you've been doing, and mostly in footwork, it could cause noticeable strain (and pain!) in other areas, including the opposite hip.

I'd encourage you to sort out if there is anything you can do to prevent pain to that toe... thicker socks, between-toe padding, change in shoes, whatever might work to alleviate your specific toe pain. It might avoid an eventual cascade of problems during training.

Anyway, just something to think about.
