Default muscle spasm questions

over the last 20 years or so i have suffered several concussions, more than ten. some minor, others worse up to not remembering the last three days or not being able to talk normal. doing ok now, but over the last 6 month i have started having muscle spasms. started out in both legs but now has moved into my right hand and right cheek. also losing balance. not falling over, but do have to either put my hand on the wall or do a little "dance" to right myself.

never have i been to a neurologist, always have gone either the emergency room or a family physician. now i am noticing more little things, like i forget stuff, walk slower than i used to. know it is normal for things to happen as the age progresses, but wondering if it is normal for me at 42.

guess the question is should i go see a specialist, and if so any particular kind? anything that i should be prepared for, questions to ask or be expected to answer? i have always been stubborn about going to the doc. thought i would ask, i read alot of good stuff on here.

thanks,
ron
