Hello! I am new to this group and I joined this solely for this purpose...I needed to talk to people who have gone through what I did. My parents say that they understand it but unless you have faced the pain you cannot possibly know.
I got meralgia after a botched appendectomy and the doctor refused to take responsibility. The second doctor further messed it up by operating and removing the wrong nerve. This was 2010. I then contacted a world famous neurosurgeon in Chennai and he diagnosed it. I have been on trigabantins ativan and maxgalin since then. Surgery is not an option for me since I have already had two.
