If the dr finds none as a real cause of your pain , you might read about thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) for short..
Often related to chronic repetitive activities or desk job.postures...previous whiplash/sports/accidents.. and other factors..

could be a little of both c spine & some sort of TOS or soft tissue problems..
