Tingling on the face and mouth may mean anxiety. This is the first go to diagnosis a doctor will have. In fact when I tell my own doctor about my anxiety (which is more like PTSD from an abusive childhood)... she asks if I have the tingling around the mouth. I don't get tingling from anxiety... I get feelings of doom and my blood pressure usually goes up and my heart may pound (esp during sleep).

Another real reason, that many doctors do not attend to is an imbalance of calcium in the body.
