I don't drink any more - I was psychologically addicted and alcohol is a poor mix with my anti-depressant (things which my close friends know).

At general social gatherings I stay with mineral water which is usually fine. If somebody tries to get me to drink I just say that I can't "for medical reasons", which shuts them up.
