Hi Caroline, I just got finished reading through this thread, and I feel so bad that you have had to cope with your situation for five years! I don’t think I can really be of much help to you, but I did have a thought about exercising by using knee bicycle motions on your bed.

I don’t think this type of exercise would have the same ergonomic benefits as using your recumbent bike, but I’m not entirely sure. I do know that in my own case I was advised to exercise on a stationary bike, which only made my leg pain a lot worse. I hope you are able to find new ways of managing your condition effectively.
