Shocked Yes, poisons.... here is one example:
Here is a good example of poisons from the past, used to treat
digestive upsets (pepsin) and other things. They used alot of mercury at the turn of the century (early 1900's)

Sharp and Dohme, was the precursor to the Merck of today.
