I read the Bible,and slowly stopped. I was really addicted mentally,and physically to bear,alcohol in bottles,and especially the 151 rum in a bottle. I drank to feel less anxiety,and it worked at first. It does something differently to you after you have been drinking for a while.
Anyway...I don't touch the stuff anymore. It's been over 20 years. I'm on medication,and I still read my bible. BF

The liver can be a real issue. My cousin went to rehab; doctor warned him his liver was not good. He was a very happy drinker; and in denial. At age 46, he passed away. Good for you BF. I know it is very difficult.
I had smoked for over 25 years. I never thought I would be able to kick the habit, but after several attempts at quitting; I finally have been cigarette free for several years. I realize I cannot even smoke one cigarette or I'll be right back smoking even more.
