They might be ok but they might not. The potency can degrade, and this can even happen unevenly across pills. So then it's impossible to gauge strength based on the effect of one dose, because the next pill you take might have a lot more or a lot less 'drug' in it. Yours are probably in a pharmacy container, too, right? That's not good as far as preserving potency as they are not airtight.
Most of my drugs are blistered (keep better) and I'd toss those if they were 9 years expired.

Sorry, but I have to advise you to toss them and talk to your pdoc if you start to feel like you need a back up plan/med.
I hope that just getting more sleep again will bring you back to even keel.
