can't help you out in that area.
just curious, what's your experience with agonists to reduce off times?

did you try sinemet CR and if so did it also have variable results?

from my understanding, you want to eat a little bit of food with some fat/oil in it to slow down gastric emptying of CR type drugs that are absorbed in the small intestine, if you empty your stomach too fast they might not dissolve enough and the microcapsules will just flow past the area where they are absorbed in the small intestine. have to admit, don't know if rytary has the same CR mechanism as sinemet CR.
wonder if your stomach pH might be a factor?

i was at my neuro's yesterday to add/change meds to extend my on times which is now around 2-2.5 hrs with just C/L. by chance the RYTARY salesperson was in the waiting room so i mentioned to him that i had been reading mixed reviews on message boards. guess what, he said he hadn't heard that. i mentioned i likely couldn't afford to go on it so wouldn't ask for samples, the salesman said there was income assistance programs and we left it there.

my neuro mentioned rytary to me and i mentioned i was interested but when the samples ended it would likely not be covered by my insurance and i said i'd rather wait to see how well it was working after a year in others. he said he had one patient just on samples that was taking the highest dose who was doing better than on stalevo and mentioned he was out of that dose in samples.

anyway, i didn't ask him how others were doing on rytary. after discussing my options, i walked out with a RX for 2mg REQUIP XL, my first agonist RX in 8 years.
