Mbolin,

Welcome to NeuroTalk.

It sounds like you are experiencing classic concussion symptoms. You are only 3 weeks since your injury. You need to take a break and give your brain a chance to recover. It is normal for a CT Scan to be negative. It is extremely rare for a concussion to cause an injury that shows up on a CT Scan.

You need to rest and lower your stressful activity levels. Head aches can take quite some time to resolve. They are uncomfortable but moderate head aches are not a reason for concern. Nor are your speech or memory struggles. Most of us have experienced them. It may take a few more weeks or even a few months to recover. Nobody can say how long it will take. But, your symptoms are not a reason for concern.

There is not much the ER can do to treat a concussion.

Please keep in touch. We are here to support you as you struggle.

My best to you.
