Hey Rick
I still go up and down on a weekly basis. PCS is ******.
I feel loads better then I did two months ago, for me both my best and worst keeps improving.
Most likely the straining from the constipation combined with the stressful events were enough to exhaust your weakened brain.
Stressful events will mess you up guaranteed. I thought I was over everything, then I went and had a three hour visit with the neurologist and half way through I had to close my eyes and I felt like I had to go sleep I was that exhausted just from talking.
I have had the jerking as well, this was horrific. It made me not want to sleep, and if you are not sleeping, you are not recovering.
Mark takes Gapapentin for the jerking before he goes to bed. I have recently started taking Pregabalin (basically Gabapentin MK II) 50 mg before bed and the jerking is mostly gone. Also it feels fantastic, just so relaxing, perfect as a pre sleep ritual.
I don't know about you, but my muscles have degraded massively over the past 9 months since my injury as I just haven't been active. My legs shake walking down the stairs.
Do you wake up from the jerking or you just wake up??
