Default numbing shot affecting sinus cavity?

I went to the dentist a month ago and had one broken tooth removed & the fillings removed on 3 surrounding teeth in preparation for crowns and a bridge (top right side). I was in no pain before any of this work and there was no infection per the dentist. After getting one of the shots to numb the area, I felt like the right side of my nose plugged up and soon after I had a weird feeling in my eye. I mentioned it and asked if it was normal and was told that it was. It took about 3 days before the right side of my mouth would smile and I felt sinus pain as well as a lot of pain around my cheek bone for another 2.5 weeks. I had no pain in my gums but my upper and lower jaw throbbed. When I went back last week for a mold, I mentioned the pain and pressure and was told it was normal. When they gave me a shot I again felt the pressure in my nose and eye. I continue to feel pressure around my eye, nose and cheek and it hurts right below the bone next to my nose. I have one more visit next month and am wondering if it really is normal for a shot to affect my sinus to that extent. A friend said it wasn't normal and that they probably perforated my sinus cavity with the shot although I don't have the air going from my nose into my mouth. Do I ride it out or should I be concerned?
