Caroline, I would be very cautious about DMSO.

I (day job stuff) use it routinely but always wear gloves when I am handling it.

In Australia DMSO is on the Schedule 4 list of drugs and poisons. What that means it is prescription-only. Only a registered health professional can prescribe it, after due consideration of the risks and benefits.

I realise that DMSO is widely recommended by alt/comp med people. I strongly suggest that you get advice from an evidence-based health professional before self-medicating with it.
