I just feel better about going into the one with doctors.

They told me of only a couple risks

1. Changes to eyesight. however, they said this normally lasts only a few hours before returning to normal.

2. Eardrum pressure or damage. They said the patient has to take a few days off therapy and the issue resolves

3. Increased risk of seizure if you have seizures. If you experience seizures they don't take you above 1.5 ( I think he said 1.5) and they give you a mask to breathe into for a few minutes every 30min. I don't remember what they run through the mask. I don't experience seizures so wasn't paying close attention I guess.

If anybody has tried hbot and experienced any of these (or other side effects) I would appreciate hearing about them and if they resolved. thanks
Hi there,
I did three treatments in February. After first treatment, I had ear pain. Muddled through third and then the doctor (very kind guy) said that I was one of the few that could not tolerate the treatment.
I did not notice any change with my neuropathy symptoms.
My ears were abnormal for about six weeks. Now they are back to pre hbot treatment.
He told me I could have tubes placed. Since I am fighting my insurance company still for an emg, I don't think they will pay for the tubes. I have decided to not try hbot again.
I did get a refund for the remaining treatments, thankfully.
Might want to find out if there is any refund if you cant tolerate.
It was disappointing, as I had been at the end of my rope with my SFN, constant burning, painful to be touched anywhere, and painful to wear clothes.

Good luck, I certainly hope you find some relief and completely understand why you are pursuing hbot.
