Well woke up this morning itch free. I guess between the salt bath and the desonide ointment it must have removed a few layers of skin. I can actually fell a bit of burning from the open skin, that itself is a relief.

Thank you for the salt recommendation mrsD even though I did not follow your direction, I do believe it still worked.

And thank you to all others for their suggestions, I will try them as well as I am sure once the skin heals the itch may be back ( I hope not).
