Probably your c1 & c2 vertebra got misaligned, and that can cause some symptoms , along with actual neck muscle pain from the assault.
I don't know if you have any upper cervical chiropractors nearby.. or any highly skilled chiros that might also do soft tissue therapies..
The one I found was not a specialist but did study upper cervical adjusting- it is not the same as mainstream chiro - no grab and jerk for the c1c2 adjusting.. it is very gentle.. Mine also did regular adjustments and soft tissue treatments...
Perhaps another type of dr is needed - a good general dr, physical med dr or osteopath?
Expert/advanced PT possibly?
