The Alleged Onset Date is an important concept to understand. An ALJ can choose a later date if s/he wishes, and that's called the Established Onset Date. Why would a later date be chosen? Sometimes it's tied to specific medical documentation and sometimes to when an applicant turns age 50 or 55.

Again, not to be rude, I'm just short on time with my getting ready for my KC trip. Do I have any control as this stuff? If not, I will not worry myself with it.
