I don't know much about weight loss as a direct result of neuropathy but PN is frequently a secondary condition to another illness eg diabetes, arthritis etc. If the weight loss is fairly sudden it may be due to an endocrine disorder - sometimes in tandem with an unusual loss of appetite, fatigue and/or muscle weakness - also muscle loss will show up as weight loss.
The non-working bladder should be an obvious sign for the medical team - if they aren't investigating this - time for a new doctor!
Do you have other symptoms - even vague or seemingly strange ones?
