Hey Caninelover,
I must say I'm not into yoga but, every evening laying down and every morning sitting up, my head pounds. The pressure I feel in my face and behind my eyes is huge. I have an adjustable valve in the shunt train, which has been adjusted and yet still these headaches continue unabated. The nausea is chronic. The nausea, for me, settles after about 15-20 minutes, but the headache takes a good 2-3 hrs to settle in the mornings.
As for the "ex-shunt'. Mine fractured and was replaced. The distal end is in the bottom of my intestinal cavity and the proximal end is still within the brain. The surgeon has replaced the whole appliance with a new shunt. The new shunt is on the same side as the old one. So I'm unsure if the headaches are from the 'ex-shunt' or the new shunt. My wife believes that my continuing pain comes from a combination of nerves being triggered from both the old and new devices.
