I had not heard of zonulin before - it is very interesting.

This free access paper discusses it well http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3384703/ .

As far as I can see that knowledge has not yet led to new therapeutic insights into management of auto-immune diseases.
