Your neck is just as important. Neck inflammation can cause reduced vertebral blood flow to the brain and brain stem. Headaches can be caused by upper neck injuries.

You might benefit from a NeuroPsych Assessment or an assessment by a speech pathologist.

Do you just struggle with word finding or do you slur your words ?

How did you hit your head ? Head to head in a header ? Fall hard on the ground ? ?

The swollen area is likely inflammation of any of the many layers of tissue and nerves that cover the skull.
