thank you for what i am to receive today

it is here we remember what we have
in our lives that has blessings all over it
my family for one
my grandchild who loves me with all her
little beating heart
yesterday she was expressing to me
that she understands pain
somehow at the bottom of the toddler pool
must have had sand that was like glass particles
and the tips of her fingers are scratched to the raw
point
she was having pain in her fingers and how
we have something in common
sometimes she'll say her neck hurts
to cute
oh and the conversations we have
priceless
there is a story i tell no lie
and it goes like this
i yet was not inflicted in anyway with physical pain
working nights
Corissa was not yet in school
i want to say she was about three
maybe younger
i asked her to please pick up her toys
and my child my last responds
"i can't, my back hurts"
that could have been the precursor
and i thaught it was cute
rather than see she was working me
she knew she had my heart
now seventeen
miss i know it all
still trying to get her to
get her GED
just do that
one thing at the time
just like everything else
one day at a time

it is to hot to go to the pool today
temp. with heat index is due to be over 100 degrees
so we are home bound after all
we really did not get weather
that would let us go
there has been so much rain
and cloudy days
this summer is a loss to ratio
of monies to join and the nasty weather
it's a loss
anyhow
we will take what ever is left weather wise
for the pool my grandchild
has a blast
today i am blessed to not be in that
dark place
withdrawals are pretty much over
that to a blessing
i am wishing all a good day
a blessed one
