LMAO! Sloth, I'm thinking 4-foot cane? That would kill my shoulder!
Seriously, any ill-fitting cane can cause development of joint pain. Always have your cane fitted and learn to use it appropriately for your needs. My PT also told me to call when my legs have changes (progression) to make sure that the cane is still the right thing.
He did my walker and I learned that it was too high, I was shocked at what a difference the proper fit made for me.
