I was uplifted when I'd read this article.
Wanted to share it here with the NT family.

to have lived an era 5 decades plus
when the famous 42nd street in NYC was at it's worse
and people now come from all over the world
and go to Time Square
the vets coming home and shunned
PTSD at its best
Jimmy Carter President
to the surprise of the citizens
feminism alive
so much during my time
as we all experience
the stars of that time
Steve McQueen
Yul Brynner
"now that i'm gone
i can say stop smoking"
stars have been making an impact
on society "CANCER"
"THE BIG C"
then...
Elizabeth Taylor and AIDS
who was at Rock Hudson bed side
i absolutely concur
stars can do so much good
just by bringing awareness to whatever
ailment may have stricken them
a loved one
or plain old support
so much more NEEDS to be done
depression under a umbrella
a
BROAD
term
so so many factors to take
into consideration
so many different kinds of depression
may it be hormonal
serotonin imbalance
situations in ones life
death
soooooooooooooo many factors
"the brain"
i don't know what or when
it all started
guess what
it was always there
lurking
and it's kicking my butt
kicking my butt
never have i ever felt this way
what do i mean
"that doomed feeling"
"what for when no one else cares"
"don't want to feel "IT" anymore"
"no one is listening"
"no one is paying attention"
"i am blamed for getting sick"
"i worked all my life and it's all gone"
this is why i share mys experience strength and hope
and am open to a fault
i look at it this way
i'd rather be safe than sorry
may we one day have it figured out
love
